Installation: I installed my own blinds!
I'm a light sleeper, and these do a very good job of blocking light. They don't quite meet what I consider the "gold standard" (a Lutron motorized roller shade with side channels) but they come quite close. There is a very little bit of shadow leakage through the honeycombs, and the bottom seal on the windowsill leaves a hairline crack of light. They're good enough that I do not need to use eyeshades and a fantastic value.

Great so far. Not difficult at all to install, even with mediocre directions. Definitely cuts out all light, and reduces much noise.

The I shade is good, but the instructions were a nightmare. I was so frustrated and had no idea what I was doing until I went on some other blind website and watched their installation video.

Installation: I hired a professional installer.
I had them professionally installed. It took the installers a little time to figure out how to install them, esp the side slider panels. They found the magnetic strips on the slider panels ingenious and made installation much easier. The lengths of ALL the slider panels were too precise. They ALL needed to be shortened by about 1/8". Also, about 1/3 of the brackets (they're screwed into the top of the sill space for inside installations) that the blinds attach to had a VERY critical small metal guide BENT down. It took quite a long time to figure out that that was the reason the blinds would not stay securely attached to the bracket. Luckily the metal guides were easy to bend back to the correct position and none of them snapped off the bracket. This can be a seriously, though trivial, misleading problem that is very difficult to diagnose. Now that they're installed, I absolutely LOVE them.
