Roll Position
Roll Position:
Roll position determines which side the fabric unrolls from and whether the roller tube is visible from inside your home. With a standard roll, the fabric drops behind the roll (closest to the window), and the roll is visible from the room. This option keeps the fabric tighter to the wall on an outside mount.

With a reverse roll, the fabric drops in front of the roll, which helps hide the roller tube from the room side of the shade.

With the option of cordless or motorized operation, and a matching cassette headrail, these shades will seamlessly blend in with your décor while providing efficient sun protection. Choose from a range of weaves to control the amount of light.

The tighter the weave the less open the fabric. The tighter the weave, the more light and view are blocked but the more privacy they provide. Our Sunlera Sun Screen Shades block 80% to 97% of the suns rays depending on the sun screen fabric while still maintaining natural light and not the view.

Depending on the fabric openness you choose (1%, 3%, 5%, 10%, or 14%), these shades block approximately 80% to 97% of the sun’s rays while still allowing natural light and view. The lower the openness percentage, the tighter the weave and the less light the shades allow to enter the room.

Standard lift options include a cordless lift or a color-coordinated plastic beaded chain loop. Upgrades are available for motorized operation via remote or wand.

Available widths range from approximately 20" to 115" and heights from approximately 24" to 108". Minimum mounting depth is about 2 1/4" and minimum flush mount depth is about 3", but this depends on the lift and headrail selected.



Why is the fabric slightly narrower than the ordered width?


The fabric is intentionally made a bit narrower than the overall shade width for proper roller function; this results in small side light gaps that vary based on lift type and cassette option.



What are typical side light gap sizes?


Light gap sizes vary by lift type — for example, a continuous cord loop may have around a 1" total gap, cordless options around 1¼", and cassette or motorized variants slightly more — depending on configuration.

Solar Screens are made out of a woven screen material and are very easy to clean. They can be wiped down, vacuumed etc.

To be able to view outside through the shade (off white color) what openness factor should be used?

These solar shades work well at reducing afternoon sun, for a fair price. The color turned out to be more yellow, less brown, than we had expected. In the past, we have taken advantage of BC's offer to send color samples before ordering. We were in a hurry this time. Next time, I will definitely order color samples first!

One minor comment about the installation instructions: they seem to apply to two different types of bracket, only one of which is actually in a given package. I don't understand why the sheet of instructions isn't specific to the one model that is actually shipped. The instructions were fine, but I thought it would not have been too difficult to make them even more clear. For instance, I installed two shades side-by-side. With clearer instructions, or with a practice run first, I could have made them perfectly even when fully unrolled. I can easily go back now and tweak them, but so far I haven't bothered.

What Is Covered

Our window coverings are covered against manufacturing defects in materials or craftsmanship when used as intended, provided that:

  • The product has been correctly measured, installed, and operated.
  • All Blinds Chalet guidelines regarding product limitations, maintenance, and care have been followed.

Who Is Eligible

This warranty applies solely to the original purchaser of the product and is non-transferable.


Blinds Chalet’s Responsibility

If a covered defect is confirmed, Blinds Chalet will, at its discretion, repair the product, replace affected parts, or provide a comparable replacement.


Costs not included: The customer is responsible for expenses related to shipping as well as any measuring, installation, removal, or reinstallation services. Labor charges, service visits, and similar costs are not covered by this warranty.

What Is Not Covered

  • Damage resulting from accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, or neglect.
  • Improper measurement, installation, cleaning, or maintenance.
  • Normal wear and tear, including fading, discoloration, or deterioration from sunlight or moisture.
  • Frayed cords, cord breakage, or reduced cord performance due to age or heavy use.

Fading and normal aging of materials are expected characteristics and are not considered defects.


Warranty Limitations

This warranty is exclusive and replaces any other expressed or implied warranties. No Blinds Chalet employee or representative is authorized to modify or extend these terms.


Blinds Chalet will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from product use or failure.

Resolution on Warranties and Guarantees
  • BlindsChalet.com reserves, at its discretion, the right to repair, replace or refund any blinds found defective. Limit 1 remake per covered product.
  • If there are multiple blinds/shades in the same room, only the defective product will be replaced/repaired.
  • In the event that a product, color or product feature has been discontinued and it is no longer available we will provide a substitute product as similar as possible to the original blind or shade.
  • Shipping for warranty issues is the responsibility of the customer to and from the repair facility. Packaging on return shipments is the responsibility of the customer.

    If for any reason you are not satisfied with the window coverings and wish to return them for store credit, please notify us within 30 days of receiving the order. Our customer care department will provide a Return Goods Authorization number (RGA) and shipping address for the return. Please note, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and shipping labels are not provided. Returns are for store credit only and store credit will be available immediately after the items are received (Guaranteed to Love fee is not credited).
