Edge Binding
Edge Binding are cloth tapes that are wrapped on the edge of the shades to help prevent fraying as well as adding an elegant look to the shades. Our standard edge binding is 1 1/4" wide with approximately 1/2" of fabric showing on each side of the shades.
Cordless Lift
Raise and lower your blinds without cords. This upgrade is great for homes with children because there are no dangerous lift cords. Not recommended for sizes wider than 96 inches.
Rollease/Continuous Cord
With the use of a clutch system and continuous pull, larger blinds are easier to lift.
Top Down-Bottom Up
Lower the shades from the top or raise them from the bottom. This option allows you to do either or both at the same time. Lower your shades from the top allowing for privacy while the shades are partially open.
Privacy Liner
Add additional privacy and light blockage to your shades by adding this upgrade to your shades.
If no option is given, the default color is a white privacy liner when this upgrade is selected.

Wide Edge Binding
Upgrade to a thicker edge binding on our woven wood shades. Our wide edge binding is twice as thick as our standard width showing more fabric and color.

The lift cord is used to raise and lower the blinds. This option allows you to select the position of the cord on the blinds.
Liner Color
Liner Color
Fabric color on either a blackout or a privacy liner. Liners are designed for privacy as well as light control. Liners are white towards the window side of the shades with the color selected towards the interior of the home.

Q:
1) If these are surface mounted, how thick is the top valance?
2) Is the back of the blinds also tortoise shell pattern or just plain natural color bamboo. What do they look like from the outside of the window?

A:
The total depth of the shade, is about 2 1/4". The valance itself is 6" tall.
The shade would look about the same on both sides unless you add a liner. You can order samples for each specific color or pattern to see the color on both sides.
Q:
Can you see through these shades? We like the idea of being able to see the trees through the living room window. For the bedroom, is there a room-darkening option?

A:
Yes unless you order a liner you will be able to see through them. Each pattern varies in the weave and will block varied amounts of the view. We recommend ordering samples so you can see the product.

Liners come in either privacy(light filtering) or room darkening fabrics. Liners can be attached to the fabric or come with it's own lift cord. Moveable liners allow privacy and light control or can be raised to allow some filtered light to enter.
Q:
It is unclear based on the Tavarua Exotic Woven Wood Shade comes with a valance? There is nothing in the written description of the product about a valance or as a feature in the design/order section, but the picture of the product shows one?

Yes, they come with a matching 6" valance that hangs down over the front of the shades.

Purchased this shade in the Caribe Spice with the privacy liner. They are fantastic. My husband loves that they block out practically all light anytime of the day. I love the woven pattern and the quality is to notch. I appreciate the bronze fittings. My husband wants to know if we can get them for our bedroom! If for any reason you are not satisfied with the window coverings and wish to return, please notify us within 30 days of receiving the order. Our customer care department will provide a Return Authorization Number (RGA) and shipping address to return the product. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, refunds will be processed 2-3 business days after receiving the items.
