And because they are dually layered, they have the capacity for optimal insulation. Designed with translucent fabric for privacy while allowing filtered light enter the room.

Production begins immediately on our Energy Guard 1/2" Translucent Double Cell Shades. For this reason NO changes can be made after your order is placed on this product. Please double check your order BEFORE completing.

What are the minimum depth requirements for inside mount?

Minimum mounting depth and flush mounting depth may vary by the lift control and other options. Please check our specifications based on your configuration.
Our standard lift configuration has the following minimum mounting depths:
Minimum mounting depth: 0.750"
Minimum flush mounting depth: 2.250"

Great value insulating shade. Wasn't fond of the snap fit holders but otherwise installation was a breeze. For those considering this shade for large windows, i would recommend the roller pull offered as the cords are quite long when opened. Would recommend this shade and blindschalet to anyone looking for window coverings.

These have a very nice pull mechanism that is sturdy and I believe works better than the system found on the blackout shades I have ordered.
The fabric and colors are nice.The install was easy. I avereraged about 5 minutes per shade. I would prefer if they blocked a little more light but I knew they were translucent when I ordered them.

My wife and I love these blinds. When stowed, they have a small profile, minimally impacting the architecture and view. When down, they've got a clean, simple look and significantly reduce the heat loss through the windows. Just what we were looking for.

Unfortunately, getting the correct hardware has been a long, cumbersome, ongoing process. Of the four blinds we ordered, only one was delivered with the correct (i.e. inside-mount) hardware. I emailed to request the correct hardware, and it was delivered within a week, but with only 6 pieces to replace 10. I had to email back and wait another week. When the replacement parts arrived, they were the wrong color. The correct hardware is supposed to be arriving today, so we'll see. But it's been a bit of a hassle, and meanwhile one of our (most exposed) windows remains without blinds three weeks after the initial shipment. No refunds/express shipping or other mitigation have been offered.

In the future, I would want to check out another vendor, to see if anyone else could match the price/quality ratio of blindschalet, which is quite good. Again, great product, dismal service.

What Is Covered

Our window coverings are covered against manufacturing defects in materials or craftsmanship when used as intended, provided that:

  • The product has been correctly measured, installed, and operated.
  • All Blinds Chalet guidelines regarding product limitations, maintenance, and care have been followed.

Who Is Eligible

This warranty applies solely to the original purchaser of the product and is non-transferable.


Blinds Chalet’s Responsibility

If a covered defect is confirmed, Blinds Chalet will, at its discretion, repair the product, replace affected parts, or provide a comparable replacement.


Costs not included: The customer is responsible for expenses related to shipping as well as any measuring, installation, removal, or reinstallation services. Labor charges, service visits, and similar costs are not covered by this warranty.

What Is Not Covered

  • Damage resulting from accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, or neglect.
  • Improper measurement, installation, cleaning, or maintenance.
  • Normal wear and tear, including fading, discoloration, or deterioration from sunlight or moisture.
  • Frayed cords, cord breakage, or reduced cord performance due to age or heavy use.

Fading and normal aging of materials are expected characteristics and are not considered defects.


Warranty Limitations

This warranty is exclusive and replaces any other expressed or implied warranties. No Blinds Chalet employee or representative is authorized to modify or extend these terms.


Blinds Chalet will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from product use or failure.

Resolution on Warranties and Guarantees
  • BlindsChalet.com reserves, at its discretion, the right to repair, replace or refund any blinds found defective. Limit 1 remake per covered product.
  • If there are multiple blinds/shades in the same room, only the defective product will be replaced/repaired.
  • In the event that a product, color or product feature has been discontinued and it is no longer available we will provide a substitute product as similar as possible to the original blind or shade.
  • Shipping for warranty issues is the responsibility of the customer to and from the repair facility. Packaging on return shipments is the responsibility of the customer.
  • If a product or component has been discontinued, Blinds Chalet will repair or replace the affected part with the closest available match in design and color.
