When ordering, use the following guidelines:
  • INSIDE MOUNT:
    • Enter exact size from inside of valance box to inside of valance box.
    • Factory Adjustment: The factory will make approximately 1/2" adjustment to the overall size to ensure that it fits properly. They will also take an additional deduction of 1/2" from the fabric for standard shades and 1" from the fabric for motorized shades. This is necessary to allow room for the hardware and mechanisms.
  • OUTSIDE MOUNT:
    • Enter the size you wish the blinds to be made.
    • Check for trim or other obstructions that could interfere with installation.
    • For tight openings (such as between cabinets or walls), choose an inside mount for proper deductions.
    • Factory Adjustment: The factory will make a deduction of approximately 1/2" from the fabric only for standard shades and 1" from the fabric only for motorized shades. This is necessary to allow room for the hardware and mechanisms.
    • See specifications for complete deductions or additions.

What are the minimum depth requirements for inside mount?

Minimum mounting depth and flush mounting depth may vary by the lift control and other options. Please check our specifications based on your configuration.

What are dual day night RV roller shades?


Dual day-night RV roller shades feature two layers of fabric in one system: a light-filtering panel for daytime glare reduction and a blackout panel for maximum darkness and privacy. Basically, the shade has two roller shades in the same headrail, each with a different fabric.


How do I operate the dual layers?


The light-filtering layer and blackout layer each roll independently on the same headrail. Simply lower or raise each fabric to adjust daytime glow or nighttime darkening as needed.


Can both fabrics be open at the same time?


Yes. You can position the light-filtering shade down for gentle daylight while keeping the blackout shade partially raised—or use both together for full darkness.


Are these shades custom made for RV windows?


Yes. Dual day night RV roller shades are custom manufactured to your window measurements for precise fit and smooth operation—important for irregular RV openings.


Do these provide privacy at night?


Absolutely. When the blackout layer is lowered, it blocks nearly all light and visibility from the outside, even with interior lights on.

How do I measure for dual day night roller shades?


For inside mounts, measure the exact width and height of the window recess. For outside mounts, measure the total area you want to cover and add extra space for better blackout coverage. Follow the measurement guide on the product page.

Do these shades have the controlled roll up feature like the factory installed shades? They roll up slowly when released.

Both fabrics go on their own individual roll. They are cordless, so they will lift and lower with a bar at the end of the shade. They will roll up slowly when you release them just as you described.

What is the depth of the day/night double shade? What is minimum space needed inside valence box?

Good quality product. Fit was a little tight inside the hard valence boxes in our trailer. When ordering more I will take off an inch to my dimensions so they fit easier. They do take off a little from the measurement you send them, but I would prefer a little more room.

What Is Covered

Our window coverings are covered against manufacturing defects in materials or craftsmanship when used as intended, provided that:

  • The product has been correctly measured, installed, and operated.
  • All Blinds Chalet guidelines regarding product limitations, maintenance, and care have been followed.

Who Is Eligible

This warranty applies solely to the original purchaser of the product and is non-transferable.


Blinds Chalet’s Responsibility

If a covered defect is confirmed, Blinds Chalet will, at its discretion, repair the product, replace affected parts, or provide a comparable replacement.


Costs not included: The customer is responsible for expenses related to shipping as well as any measuring, installation, removal, or reinstallation services. Labor charges, service visits, and similar costs are not covered by this warranty.

What Is Not Covered

  • Damage resulting from accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, or neglect.
  • Improper measurement, installation, cleaning, or maintenance.
  • Normal wear and tear, including fading, discoloration, or deterioration from sunlight or moisture.
  • Frayed cords, cord breakage, or reduced cord performance due to age or heavy use.

Fading and normal aging of materials are expected characteristics and are not considered defects.


Warranty Limitations

This warranty is exclusive and replaces any other expressed or implied warranties. No Blinds Chalet employee or representative is authorized to modify or extend these terms.


Blinds Chalet will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from product use or failure.

Resolution on Warranties and Guarantees
  • BlindsChalet.com reserves, at its discretion, the right to repair, replace or refund any blinds found defective. Limit 1 remake per covered product.
  • If there are multiple blinds/shades in the same room, only the defective product will be replaced/repaired.
  • In the event that a product, color or product feature has been discontinued and it is no longer available we will provide a substitute product as similar as possible to the original blind or shade.
  • Shipping for warranty issues is the responsibility of the customer to and from the repair facility. Packaging on return shipments is the responsibility of the customer.
  • If a product or component has been discontinued, Blinds Chalet will repair or replace the affected part with the closest available match in design and color.
