Insulating window coverings are great for customers who live in climates with large temperature fluctuations. Insulating blinds can add a R value up to 4 for most existing window treatments, making your room more comfortable and reducing your energy bill.

What are the best insulating window shades?

Double cell cellular shades are the best for insulating windows. Each cell has an air pocket trapping air to maintain a constant barrier. The blackout cellular shades also have insulating material in them. Cellular skylight shades insulate skylights the best.

Composite shutters also work well for insulating interior windows, but they are more expensive then cellular shades.

Exterior porch shades can reduce the UV rays entering into your home helping to cool those parts of your home.

Can insulating window treatments prevent window drafts and keep the cold out?

Yes, cellular shades are great at keeping the cold out and preventing drafts. If you couple cellular shades with draperies, you will have the optimum draft prevention.

Can insulating shades lower your electric bill?

  • In the event that a product, color or product feature has been discontinued and it is no longer available we will provide a substitute product as similar as possible to the original blind or shade.
  • Shipping for warranty issues is the responsibility of the customer to and from the repair facility. Packaging on return shipments is the responsibility of the customer.

If for any reason you are not satisfied with the window coverings and wish to return them for store credit, please notify us within 30 days of receiving the order. Our customer care department will provide a Return Goods Authorization number (RGA) and shipping address for the return. Please note, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and shipping labels are not provided. Returns are for store credit only and store credit will be available immediately after the items are received (Guaranteed to Love fee is not credited).

Shutters,custom graphic shades, commercial/dealer orders are not covered.
