The characteristics of Natural Woven Woods allow for variances in color, tone and texture from the sample swatches. The size and shapes of the slats will vary and are not considered defects. Spacing of the slats will vary over time. Slight color variations are normal and may change over time and are not considered defects. Each shade is considered unique and original. For complete privacy or light blocking it is strongly recommended that you add a liner to the shade.
  • Blinds Chalet recommends edge binding to prevent string from fraying.

Edge Binding
Edge Binding are cloth tapes that are wrapped on the edge of the shades to help prevent fraying as well as adding an elegant look to the shades. Our standard edge binding is 1 1/4" wide with approximately 1/2" of fabric showing on each side of the shades. Wide Edge Binding is 3” wide, with approximately 1 1/2" of fabric showing on each side of the shade.
Continuous Cord with Tensioner
This lift option has a looping lift chain adjacent to the shade. The fabric/material is narrower on the control side allowing the control to hang to the side without interfering with the lift of the shade. Shades with Continuous Cord Loop option may have a light gap on black-out shades.
Top Down-Bottom Up
Lower the shades from the top or raise them from the bottom. This option allows you to do either or both at the same time. Lower your shades from the top allowing for privacy while the shades are partially open.
Privacy Liner
Add additional privacy and light blockage to your shades by adding this upgrade to your shades.
If no option is given, the default color is a white privacy liner when this upgrade is selected.

Blackout Liner
Add additional privacy and block the light by adding this upgrade to your shades.

Movable Roman Liner
Raise and lower the privacy or blackout liner without raising your shades. When raised, this roman style liner allows light to filter through the shades but blocks light and gives privacy when lowered. Shade will come with a separate lift cord on the same side of the shades to operate the liner.

Tavarua shades come standard with both liner and shade lift cords on the same side but may be made differently upon request.
Wide Edge Binding
Upgrade to a thicker edge binding on our woven wood shades. Our wide edge binding is twice as thick as our standard width showing more fabric and color.



Free Features



Lift Cord
Lift Cord
The lift cord is used to raise and lower the blinds. This option allows you to select the position of the cord on the blinds.
Liner Color
Liner Color
Fabric color on either a blackout or a privacy liner. Liners are designed for privacy as well as light control. Liners are white towards the window side of the shades with the color selected towards the interior of the home.

Yes. All woven wood shades allow some light to pass and are not complete privacy. Each pattern is different but we do recommend a liner if privacy is a need.

Ordered blinds for one room just to make sure blinds matched samples. These blinds are better than the sample, came quickly, and were fairly easy to install. Customer service representative was very helpful :)

If for any reason you are not satisfied with the window coverings and wish to return them for store credit, please notify us within 30 days of receiving the order. Our customer care department will provide a Return Goods Authorization number (RGA) and shipping address for the return. Please note, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and shipping labels are not provided. Returns are for store credit only and store credit will be available immediately after the items are received (Guaranteed to Love fee is not credited).

Shutters,custom graphic shades, commercial/dealer orders are not covered.
