These blinds are very beautiful. I was surprised and pleased by how well made they were, as these are your most basic shades. There is a mechanism that lets you easily control the height without pulling and securing the cords.

Everyone I have dealt with over the phone was gracious and helpful.

You have a great company, and I will use you again when the need arises.

I have only just seen the blinds and they are very attractive. The rollease thing is terrific; actually wish now I'd gotten them on every blind. The top flaps covering the blind roller and hardware are a little bit cheap looking - skimpy - but not terrible in any way.

The delivery was another story. Blinds were shipped to an address in Boston and arrived in the morning on a Thursday, 2 weeks and 2 days after ordering. I checked online, saw this, and assumed this was a temporary pause at a central collection station and that they would be in Nantucket the next day or Saturday at the worst. Then I checked again on Sunday to see when they arrived. THEY HAD NOT EVEN LEFT BOSTON. They were just sitting there! DHL, had some pretty lame excuses and acknowledged that they had the proper final delivery address for Nantucket, MA and that they'd get it there by Monday. Long story made short, (and after another phone call to them on Monday to ask why they were still sitting in the warehouse according to tracking) the blinds finally arrived in Nantucket on Monday night, 2 days after the tenants arrived and 3 weeks after ordering.

One truly appalling aspect of working with DHL, was that they even reworked their online tracking reports - after my phone to them on Sunday - to say that they had tried delivering the shades on Thursday, but that no one was home. So I will never recommend or use DHL myself, since this is just bad business practice!

Another frustration in this was that my email to Blinds Chalet on that Sunday, about the situation, with a request for help, seemed to have been lost. So Blinds Chalet did not respond. When I called them on Monday to enlist their help, they were sort of helpful, but could only leave it in DHL's hands. Afterwards, when I asked for a partial refund for all my troubles, they offered to refund only their "handling" fee of $5.95, saying customers are not charged for shipping. (I assume that the cost of shipping is built into the blinds cost) I said $5.95 wouldn't even cover the phone calls from Italy to get this delivery job done. Blind Chalet's position: that this is on DHL.

The only reason to go back to Blinds Chalet is to make sure any additional blinds match the original ones. But the shipping, if you have any kind of time frame crunch, can be a real nightmare, as my experience was.

The order arrived within the time frame promised. The product itself is TOP QUALITY - the materials, construction and hardware materials are superior to anything we could have purchased locally. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the window coverings and wish to return them for store credit, please notify us within 30 days of receiving the order. Our customer care department will provide a Return Goods Authorization number (RGA) and shipping address for the return. Please note, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and shipping labels are not provided. Returns are for store credit only and store credit will be available immediately after the items are received (Guaranteed to Love fee is not credited).

Shutters,custom graphic shades, commercial/dealer orders are not covered.
