Selling a home can certainly seem like a daunting task. Aside from being a significant decision, it is a substantial undertaking and one has to be sure that their home looks as attractive as possible. While it may seem overwhelming to give an abode such a facelift, CBS MoneyWatch recently shared some tips on how to get the most out of a dwelling.

The most important thing to do first is de-clutter. Removing excess knick knacks is a must, experts say, because would-be homeowners may be turned off by seeing personal items when trying to envision themselves in the residence. Furthermore, industry insiders suggest turning ones attention toward lighting as it can have a big impact on how a space looks.

“When done right, it is one of the easiest ways to transform a room and make it look more beautiful," interior designer Mona Ross Berman told the news source.

Natural light can also have a large positive impact, so homeowners should not ignore window treatments. Soft Sheer shades are an excellent choice as they filter sunlight that will bathe the room in a warming glow.
