We absolutely LOVE the EnergyTrack shade! Nov 25 2011 Measuring: I measured my own blinds! Installation: I installed my own blinds! We absolutely LOVE the EnergyTrack shade! Double cell shade looks great too. Exactly what we were looking for to solve our problem cold air coming thru a pass thru window from our 3 season sunroom to our kitchen. A custom window treatment co. wanted $1200 for a thermal lined roman shade that would still not of completely sealed off the window. My husband had no problem installing them and we are thrilled. Highly recommend this product, no others out there like it! GREAT product. Nov 20 2011 Measuring: I measured my own blinds! Installation: I installed my own blinds! GREAT product. Does exactly what we wanted. Our application is very unusual since we have it in a doorway separating the upstairs/downstairs of the house. We didn't want a traditional door (for a variety of reasons) but needed a thermal barrier between the heated downstairs and the (usually) unheated upstairs. The only complaint we have is that if it were 1/4 inch wider it would never come out of the track. The customer service person was fabulous and when the product arrived with a small cut in the shade, it was immediately replaced at no charge. The shade is totally effective at keeping the two different room temperatures apart. We couldn't be happier with the product and the treatment received and would (and have) strongly recommended this company to friends and relatives. I was a little apprehensive ordering online custom fit blinds but we are very pleased. May 9 2011 Measuring: I measured my own blinds! Installation: I installed my own blinds! I was a little apprehensive ordering online custom fit blinds but we are very pleased. After I installed the first found they was very easy to install. Also we had our first very warm day was impressed how much they block out the heat and can't wait to see how they preform next winter. Thanks. The nearly 8' wide blinds were quite hard to install with only one person, but I guess that should have been expected. May 2 2011 Measuring: I measured my own blinds! Installation: I installed my own blinds! The nearly 8' wide blinds were quite hard to install with only one person, but I guess that should have been expected. One blind only had one up-down handle with it and another blind's "energy tracks" were the wrong size and had to be cut down, but it was easier for me to do it myself than call and to wait until the new ones arrived, plus I don't like the idea of the extra waste it would have created. Once up, however, they look great! These Energy Track shades are a good idea in theory. Feb 16 2011 Measuring: I measured my own blinds! Installation: I installed my own blinds! These Energy Track shades are a good idea in theory. After buying and installing them, I wouldn't spend the extra money on them. They were a lot more money then a regular Double Cell Shade would have been, but I spent the extra money because I just bought a house and the windows are horribly insulated. Unfortunately, the material of the actual shade is so thin that I doubt they insulate very much at all. Even with the Energy Tracks on the side you can still feel a slight draft at the bottom and sides of the shades, due to the thinness of the material the shades are made of. If I did it over, I would have saved a couple hundred dollars and got the regular shades instead. That, and it took over a month and a half for Blind Chalet to get me the right mounting brackets for them. In the original shipment they sent the wrong ones, and when I called to tell them, the quickly sent me out another package with the right ones, unfortunately, that new package was short two brackets that I needed, so I had to call back again and have some more sent out, resulting in one of my windows sitting for a month and a half with a blanket over it. At least their customer service was fast and easy to deal with, and I didn't have to pay for any replacements to ship. |
