Tavarua Woven Wood Shades

Exclusive to BlindsChalet.com, our Tavarua Woven Wood Shade Collection are made from a wide selection of exotic bamboo patterns and styles. Sometimes called matchstick blinds or bamboo blinds, each shade is uniquely woven into a light filtrating blind to create a shade that is full of character.

Each Tavarua woven wood shade comes with color coordinated cords and tassels as well as a matching 6 inch valance. Upgrade to a fabric privacy or blackout liner that are sewn and hemmed with matching thread.

Upgrade these woven wood waterfall shades by adding one of these options:

Edge Binding

Made with a roman fold style lift when raised each bamboo shade creates a waterfall look and comes with a six inch valance. When lowered they provide a smooth, flat bamboo face.

The characteristics of Natural Woven Woods allow for variances in color, tone and texture from the sample swatches. The size and shapes of the slats will vary and are not considered defects. Spacing of the slats will vary over time. Slight color variations are normal and may change over time and are not considered defects. Each shade is considered unique and original. For complete privacy or light blocking it is strongly recommended that you add a liner to the shade.

Blinds Chalet recommends edge binding to prevent string from fraying.

	Edge Binding Edge Binding are cloth tapes that are wrapped on the edge of the shades to help prevent fraying as well as adding an elegant look to the shades. Our standard edge binding is 1 1/4" wide with approximately 1/2" of fabric showing on each side of the shades.
	Blackout Liner Add additional privacy and block the light by adding this upgrade to your shades. Our standard blackout liners offered in white. View Liner Colors
	Movable Roman Liner Raise and lower the privacy or blackout liner without raising your shades. When raised, this roman style liner allows light to filter through the shades but blocks light and gives privacy when lowered. Shade will come with a separate lift cord on the same side of the shades to operate the liner. Tavarua shades come standard with both liner and shade lift cords on the same side but may be made differently upon request.
	Privacy Liner Add additional privacy and light blockage to your shades by adding this upgrade to your shades. Tavarua shades come with natural color privacy liner. All other woven wood shades offer a white liner. View Liner Colors
	Rollease/Continuous Cord With the use of a clutch system and continuous pull, larger blinds are easier to lift.
	Top Down-Bottom Up Lower the shades from the top or raise them from the bottom. This option allows you to do either or both at the same time. Lower your shades from the top allowing for privacy while the shades are partially open.
	Wide Edge Binding Upgrade to a thicker edge binding on our woven wood shades. Our wide edge binding is twice as thick as our standard width showing more fabric and color.

Each of our blinds and shades are custom made to your specifications. You can expect them to arrive approximately 2 to 2 1/2 weeks after ordering. Standard shipping is UPS or FedEx ground.

Free Features
	Lift Cord The lift cord is used to raise and lower the blinds. This option allows you to select the position of the cord on the blinds.
	Liner Color Fabric color on either a blackout or a privacy liner. Liners are designed for privacy as well as light control. Liners are white towards the window side of the shades with the color selected towards the interior of the home.

What depth do I need on a window for an inside mount with and without a movable liner?

The minimum mounting depth on the Tavarua shades is 1" with or with out a movable liner. The flush mounting depth without a moveable liner would be 2.25"

This has been my third purchase of this product and every single time it has been a breezy to install. Based on the measurement I gave for inside window installation I got perfectly measured binds in the style and color that I ordered.
I work in the design field and had a colleague stay with for a few days. She LOVED them. I add this as those in the design field tend to have a more critical eye to products. I have worked in the design field for over 20 years and I am not afraid to tarnish my manicured hands to install these blinds myself. The satisfaction I got was quite rewarding to me. NO STRESS with having someone charge an inflated cost to put them in. YES I SAID THAT.
