Here is the basic instructions for removing and replacing the a window shade cord or wand tilter on horizontal window blinds. Step 1: Pull out the metal end caps from each end of the metal headrail. Step 2: Pull the rod out of the middle of the wand or cord tilter that is in the headrail of the blinds. Step 3: Push the mechanism to the right side and it will pop out from the headrail.
