Our Designer Solar Screen Shades offer "designer" style screen fabrics with unique weaves, patterns, and colors. These designer roller shades are perfect for businesses as well as residential applications providing protection against fading, minimizing worker fatigue and eyestrain. These solar roller shades are made from fabric with either 5% openness or 10% openness that filter out natural light while preserving an outside view.

Motorization
Make sure to order at least one remote or smart hub to control your motorized shades. One remote can operate more than one shade. Raise and lower your window shades with the touch of a finger. Our remote controlled shades use a radio technology system.
Cassette Headrail
The cassette headrail comes with a matching fabric strip.
Remote - 1 Channel
Control a single window shade or a group of window shades at ONCE. Single channel remote will only operate multiple shades together, not individually.
Remote - 5 Channel
Control up to 5 window shades or 5 groups of window shades with the same remote.
Wall Switch - 1 Channel
Works just like a wall switch. Control up to 1 window shades or 1 groups of window shades. The switch is easy to install with a standard electrical box. No wiring is needed. Remote runs off battery.

Roll Type
Roll Type
The side in which the fabric comes of the roll and whether the roll is visible. With the standard roll, the fabric comes down behind the roll next to the wall and the roll is visible inside the house. This option keeps the fabric tight to the wall on an outside mount. Reverse roll brings the fabric down in front of the roll and hides the roll from the house side of the roller shade.

What are the minimum depth requirements for inside mount?

Minimum mounting depth and flush mounting depth may vary by the lift control and other options. Please check our specifications based on your configuration.
Our standard lift configuration has the following minimum mounting depths:
Minimum mounting depth: 0.625"
Minimum flush mounting depth: 2.625"

Specs does not indicate how these raise and lower and the bottom edge treatment. I see this on most of the other blinds and shades, too. Which solar screen roller blinds or shades do NOT use cords at all?

All of our solar screens come standard with beaded chains in a continuous cord loop. The only way to get these roller shades as cordless is to motorize them. We do have other screen roller shades that have a cordless upgrade option.

Are these motorized shades battery-operated, high voltage or low voltage?

They come with a low voltage battery. The remote option has a battery pack in the headrail.


We do have the option to hard wire or use a "plug in", that plugs into an outlet near the window for a high voltage system.

I would like to know if the solar shades have a pull chain or rope fabric pull?

The solar shades are beaded pull chains.


Do these shades block the outside view?

Because they are made from a screen material you will be able to see through these shades similar to the exterior screens on your windows. The tighter the weave the more it blocks the view. The 10% fabrics will be a looser weave than the 5% fabrics.

the blinds I ordered were to fit (3) side-by-side in a sliding glass door. the first shade was awesome, the second shade had a different texture and the third shade was totally made incorrectly. the fabric was hung with the pattern sideways AND not hung level so the shade rolls up cockeyed. I voiced my concerns to Shannon Quinones at your company. she asked me to send pictures (which I did). she was very professional and courteous. she emailed me back on 7/28 that I would be getting two replacement shades. those have not come yet so I cannot comment on them. the one shade that was completely correct is wonderful. all three shades do a very nice job of cutting the glare and heat from the sun but allowing us to see out. my review below is based on the correct shade.

What Is Covered

Our window coverings are covered against manufacturing defects in materials or craftsmanship when used as intended, provided that:

  • The product has been correctly measured, installed, and operated.
  • All Blinds Chalet guidelines regarding product limitations, maintenance, and care have been followed.

Who Is Eligible

This warranty applies solely to the original purchaser of the product and is non-transferable.


Blinds Chalet’s Responsibility

If a covered defect is confirmed, Blinds Chalet will, at its discretion, repair the product, replace affected parts, or provide a comparable replacement.


Costs not included: The customer is responsible for expenses related to shipping as well as any measuring, installation, removal, or reinstallation services. Labor charges, service visits, and similar costs are not covered by this warranty.

What Is Not Covered

  • Damage resulting from accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, or neglect.
  • Improper measurement, installation, cleaning, or maintenance.
  • Normal wear and tear, including fading, discoloration, or deterioration from sunlight or moisture.
  • Frayed cords, cord breakage, or reduced cord performance due to age or heavy use.

Fading and normal aging of materials are expected characteristics and are not considered defects.


Warranty Limitations

This warranty is exclusive and replaces any other expressed or implied warranties. No Blinds Chalet employee or representative is authorized to modify or extend these terms.


Blinds Chalet will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from product use or failure.

Resolution on Warranties and Guarantees
  • BlindsChalet.com reserves, at its discretion, the right to repair, replace or refund any blinds found defective. Limit 1 remake per covered product.
  • If there are multiple blinds/shades in the same room, only the defective product will be replaced/repaired.
  • In the event that a product, color or product feature has been discontinued and it is no longer available we will provide a substitute product as similar as possible to the original blind or shade.
  • Shipping for warranty issues is the responsibility of the customer to and from the repair facility. Packaging on return shipments is the responsibility of the customer.
  • If a product or component has been discontinued, Blinds Chalet will repair or replace the affected part with the closest available match in design and color.

Returns are for store credit only and store credit will be available immediately after the items are received (Guaranteed to Love fee is not credited).
