I asked the sales person specifically if these blinds block all light and she assured me that they did, however they do not block all of the light from the sides during the day. Even though the side rails are T'd into the blinds they still let in light during the day, not beaming light but a vertical line. If these blinds cant block all light then I doubt if any would. You may have to go to foil on the windows for all blockage.

I had to call to find out why I couldn't get them to go down but the guy who answered the phone was able to give me instructions. Once I tried his suggestion they worked very nicely. Next time I'll order 1/4" wider, I think.
