The Good Housekeeping Room Darkening window shades offer both privacy and light control. Their unique fabric is designed with room darkening fabric vanes between sheer fabric. Close the vanes for light control and privacy or open them for filtered light. Leave the vanes open while raising the shades!

Larger 3" vane provides 30% more view through than standard 2" vanes when tilted open. Order these sheer blinds for windows today!

I ordered three of these shades for some large windows in my new construction home, one in the bedroom and two in the family room. I also ordered one of the light filtering shades for the study. I'm very pleased with the purchase overall. Everything I needed to install the blinds was in the box, including easy-to-follow instructions. I only had an issue with one of the shades, because my window frame wasn't completely straight across the top; it bowed slightly in the middle. I ended up just loosening the brackets slightly to allow for some wiggle room and the shade snapped into the brackets. Overall I'm very pleased with how the shades look and operate. My parents recently had a similar, but far more expensive, shade installed in their home, and they were impressed with how nice our less expensive shades looked. I think if I had it to do over again, I'd order them 1/4" shorter next time. When they're down and opened, the bottom hits the window frame on all four windows, but only slightly.
