You are in absolute control of the level of privacy and visibility your windows allow with our state-of-the-art 3/8" single cell blackout shades, heightened all the more when you upgrade to the cordless top-down bottom-up lift system. This unique lift control upgrade is designed with no headrail and cordless operation. With the cords running tightly at the sides of the frame when the shades are lowered, less of the view through the windows is blocked. Your honeycomb shades may be raised from the bottom like a traditional shade, or they may lower from the top, and, in either case, the magnetic click-into-place mechanism forms a snug seal with no light gap and optimal energy efficiency. Your blackout shades are available in SoftCel spun lace as well as UltraCel point bond fabric, and their D-Cell configuration ensures sustained durability and attractiveness.

Production begins immediately on our Energy Guard 3/8" Blackout Single Cell Shades. For this reason NO changes can be made after your order is placed on this product. Please double check your order BEFORE completing.

Note: This product may be up to 6" larger in height than ordered.

Note: Made with blackout fabric and designed for near-total blackout, these shades block about 99% of light. Minimal edge gaps may allow a small amount of light in, which is standard for blackout shades. For added light control, consider adding our Side Light Blockers.

Continuous Cord Loop
This lift option has a looping lift cord adjacent to the shade. The fabric/material is narrower on the control side allowing the control to hang to the side without interfering with the lift of the shade. Shades with Continuous Cord Loop option may have a light gap on black-out shades.

Cordless Top Down Bottom Up
Combine two of the most popular upgrades on the same shade. Raise from the bottom up or lower from the top down the shades without any lift cords.

Cordless Top Down Bottom Up cell shadesThis exclusive top down bottom up feature is designed with the lift cords running next to the window frame. There are no cords running through the center of window when they are lowered from the top down like other cordless top down bottom up shades.

Note: Cordless top down bottom up EnergyGuard cell shades must be mounted on the top as well as the bottom of the window frame.
Top Down-Bottom Up
Lower the shades from the top or raise them from the bottom. This option allows you to do either or both at the same time. Lower your shades from the top allowing for privacy while the shades are partially open.

Note: Two separate cords on opposite sides of the shade. Can only come with lift cord on the right and the top down cord on the left.

What are the minimum depth requirements for inside mount?

Minimum mounting depth and flush mounting depth may vary by the lift control and other options. Please check our specifications based on your configuration.
Our standard lift configuration has the following minimum mounting depths:
Minimum mounting depth: 0.750"
Minimum flush mounting depth: 2.250"

Nice blinds. I am very happy. I think this will keep my light bill down, too. They are a nice neutral color (warm sand) and relatively easy to setup although you will need some good strong wall areas to mount them. I was not happy that this product wasn't available in a horizontally sliding vertical blind but I was able to use two conventional style blinds to cover a huge sliding door. The nice thing about this product is that they were able to make mine oversized. I needed two 94" blinds for some massive windows and no other online site could do this for this great price. If I had to shop for more blinds I would definitely use this product again; not to mention you just cannot beat this price. This was a very easy purchase and the product was exactly as I had ordered it.

Really nice product. Not totally simple to install but not difficult either. You just need patience. I ordered an oversized (94") length and I could not find any other website that could make this particular product at this length in one piece. The pull strings are unsnapping at the plastic cord housing and this is a bit annoying but I can place it back together pretty easily. Really great at blacking out the room BUT perhaps I should have ordered a 1/2 inch larger because there are slivers of white light at the edges coming in from outside my rooms. I would definitely order again and the price was unbeatable.

What Is Covered

Our window coverings are covered against manufacturing defects in materials or craftsmanship when used as intended, provided that:

  • The product has been correctly measured, installed, and operated.
  • All Blinds Chalet guidelines regarding product limitations, maintenance, and care have been followed.

Who Is Eligible

This warranty applies solely to the original purchaser of the product and is non-transferable.


Blinds Chalet’s Responsibility

If a covered defect is confirmed, Blinds Chalet will, at its discretion, repair the product, replace affected parts, or provide a comparable replacement.


Costs not included: The customer is responsible for expenses related to shipping as well as any measuring, installation, removal, or reinstallation services. Labor charges, service visits, and similar costs are not covered by this warranty.

What Is Not Covered

  • Damage resulting from accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, or neglect.
  • Improper measurement, installation, cleaning, or maintenance.
  • Normal wear and tear, including fading, discoloration, or deterioration from sunlight or moisture.
  • Frayed cords, cord breakage, or reduced cord performance due to age or heavy use.

Fading and normal aging of materials are expected characteristics and are not considered defects.


Warranty Limitations

This warranty is exclusive and replaces any other expressed or implied warranties. No Blinds Chalet employee or representative is authorized to modify or extend these terms.


Blinds Chalet will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from product use or failure.

Resolution on Warranties and Guarantees
  • BlindsChalet.com reserves, at its discretion, the right to repair, replace or refund any blinds found defective. Limit 1 remake per covered product.
  • If there are multiple blinds/shades in the same room, only the defective product will be replaced/repaired.
  • In the event that a product, color or product feature has been discontinued and it is no longer available we will provide a substitute product as similar as possible to the original blind or shade.
  • Shipping for warranty issues is the responsibility of the customer to and from the repair facility. Packaging on return shipments is the responsibility of the customer.
  • If a product or component has been discontinued, Blinds Chalet will repair or replace the affected part with the closest available match in design and color.

Returns are for store credit only and store credit will be available immediately after the items are received (Guaranteed to Love fee is not credited).
