Now that spring is here, the world is turning green and your home can show the change of the seasons with some clever style choices. If you're still using heavy drapes or if your window blinds and shades have seen better days, now may be the time to revitalize your window coverings for the spring, according to NorthJersey.com.

"When you want to freshen up for spring, the key is to edit," Kim Myles, host of HGTV's Myles of Styles, told the news source. "The idea is to leave behind only the things you love, and it costs you nothing."

Myles suggests replacing the heavy winter drapes with some white or cream lightweight sheer curtains. These will add a wonderful aesthetic to your living area and will allow you to do more with your interior design. Any way you can eliminate winter neutrals will help to prepare your home for the warm weather.

Window blinds and shades are another way to rejuvenate the look of your interior. Roman shades are a timeless design that comes in many different colors and will add depth and texture to your living space.
