HGTV.com recently released a preview of its 15th annual Dream House, which comes complete with a new SUV and a hot tub in the rugged ski slopes of Stowe, Vermont, according to The Burlington Free Press.

The $1.5 million home boasts $30,000 worth of kitchen appliances and a 3,000-square-foot frame capable of accommodating 14 people. The home is also decorated with the handiwork of local artists, which has been a long-standing tradition for the contest.

There is maple flooring throughout the residence and beautiful cedar bark details, as well as horizontal spruce siding to emphasize the charming, rustic environment.

"My favorite part of the house is definitely the window that the bed in the master suite faces. In the pre-dawn light, Mount Mansfield’s Chin glows pink and it’s just unparalleled," builder Brendan O'Reilly told the news provider.

The virtual tour for the HGTV Dream Home Contest begins on December 20 and contestants can enter starting January 1.

While not every homeowner can move to the Vermont luxury home, they can add some relaxing, countryside elements to their own home with the use of interior shades. These window treatments are ideal for those looking to touch up a space with a quaint, cottage atmosphere.
