Vertical blinds ideal for glass wallsSep 14 2010 ![]() Vertical blinds ideal for glass walls The final residence is now 4,5000 square feet, with three bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, a media room and an office. Despite the updates, it maintained distinctively Asian atmosphere, as homeowner Philip Cummins often visits Thailand, Cambodia and other South Asian destinations, and helped designers construct his dream home. The goal of the home was to provide a way for Cummins to display his collection of Asian artifacts in a natural setting. The entrance to the home features a glass jewel box, which boasts a view of the floating staircase, where each step is individually attached to the wall. One of the more notable features of the home is the 300-year-old monastery door that Cummins brought back on one trip. It now adorns the doorway to his home office. Many of the home's glass walls face outwards and could prove difficult to adorn. Vertical blinds are ideal for sliding glass doors or walls, as they can provide a private, divisive line when desired and also function to let in the outdoors.
