Deluxe double cell blackout shades combine energy savings and light control

A cellular shade that combines energy savings with optimum light control to darken a room is available in one of Blinds Chalet's wide variety of cell shade selections.

"Need to darken a room? Our 3/8-inch, deluxe double cell blackout cell shades are the perfect fit," according to the company's website. "Darken any room in a office or home up to 85 percent more."

For a limited time, this line of cellular shades is available in a top down bottom up style for no additional charge.

The same blackout shade is also available in a more contemporary, ¾ inch single cell version. Both styles come with a mylar liner on the inside of the shade.

There are many colors to choose from - marina blue, cypress green, cinnamon, deep and medium brown as well as various shades of white, off-white and beige. The standard lift is color coordinated, but cordless and top down bottom up versions has lifts in white only.

In both single and double cell shades from Blinds Chalet, the honeycomb construction traps air so that heat loss is reduced during winter and solar gain from outdoors is minimized to keep rooms cool in summer.
