Spring is here, and while darker hues may seem like they run counter to the nature of the season, blue has become increasingly popular design choice. According to the Akron Beacon Journal, the shade works best when combined with varying shades of the same color, and could be a savvy option for home offices.

"I think it's very sophisticated and classy," Christine Haught, an interior designer, told the news source. "It's country-club-esque, but not too stodgy and not too stiff. Think of a blue blazer with khaki pants - dressy, but in a casual way."

Home offices are a perfect place to try out the style, so begin by painting your walls pastel blue to make the best use of light. It will go great with black furniture or a gray sofa, so don't be afraid to experiment with bold colors throughout the space to create contrast.

Wood blinds are a savvy choice for home offices and they can be custom-made to fit any window. They will provide warmth and texture to your space that can't be matched. Above all, the look is timeless, so you'll never have to worry about it going out of style.
