Interior designer Chad Scheli is no stranger to redecorating a room, but sometimes, he loves his old furniture just as much as new pieces and has to come up with creative ways to hang onto them, according to The Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel.

One way he has coped, is to lend the furniture to a relative, so that he can always reincorporate it into a room if he begins to miss it. Otherwise, he is constantly shifting rooms so that they can accommodate both new and old pieces.

"It's always changing... [my wife and I] like conversation pieces," he told the news source. "We're drawn to things that are more dramatic."

As such, his living room is a jumble of pleasant and eccentric aesthetics, from a bright, flowery chair, to a three-piece coffee table to a cozy, conventional couch.

His oldest piece is an heirloom from his grandparents, which is a dress that dates back to the 1880s.

Those who are looking for the ideal window treatments for a constantly changing display may want to invest in pleated shades. These shades are available in vibrant colors that can suit any theme and also adapt to different ones throughout the years.
