Nestled in the hills above Sunset Boulevard is a home which overlooks both Hollywood and Beverly Hills, and it has recently been given a creative makeover by a host of interior designers, architects and other specialists, according to The Los Angeles Times.

The final residence is now 4,5000 square feet, with three bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, a media room and an office. Despite the updates, it maintained distinctively Asian atmosphere, as homeowner Philip Cummins often visits Thailand, Cambodia and other South Asian destinations, and helped designers construct his dream home.

The goal of the home was to provide a way for Cummins to display his collection of Asian artifacts in a natural setting. The entrance to the home features a glass jewel box, which boasts a view of the floating staircase, where each step is individually attached to the wall.

One of the more notable features of the home is the 300-year-old monastery door that Cummins brought back on one trip. It now adorns the doorway to his home office.

Many of the home's glass walls face outwards and could prove difficult to adorn. Vertical blinds are ideal for sliding glass doors or walls, as they can provide a private, divisive line when desired and also function to let in the outdoors.
