The third annual Delaware-based Renewable Energy Fair is little over a week away, and over 30 area vendors are getting ready show their eco-friendly products at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, the Cape Gazette Reports.

The fair is presented by Clean Energy USA and features products that range from solar-powered attic fans to MP3 players. Company representative Lyn Mox told the news source that the fair is an effort to bring the community together for a common cause.

"It’s a community process. We’re trying to get like-minded people together for business networking and education," she added.

While there are a lot of vendors that are selling gadgets, others offer more functional services. Some of the other featured vendors are companies that construct zero-energy homes and energy-efficient window blinds.

Homeowners who wish to incorporate these energy-efficient elements into their abode can do so by hanging solar screen shades. Experts told the Riverdale Press that this window treatment, along with venetian blinds or blackout shades, are very effective at controlling the amount of light that enters a room, which can reduce the time the air conditioner needs to be running.
