Reviews About Window Blinds in Seattle, Washington May 2 2011 The nearly 8' wide blinds were quite hard to install with only one person, but I guess that should have been expected. One blind only had one up-down handle with it and another blind's "energy tracks" were the wrong size and had to be cut down, but it was easier for me to do it myself than call and to wait until the new ones arrived, plus I don't like the idea of the extra waste it would have created. Once up, however, they look great!

Installation: I installed my own blinds in Seattle, WA! Beatrice Seattle, WA  Oct 7 2010 My natural wood blinds came quickly after ordering. I found the metal parts were painted a dark brown which you could see from a distance. It would make sense to have them painted a light color to correspond to the light-colored blinds. Also the wands were too long on short windows...they extended beyond the window sills and looked odd. However, customer service replaced them with shorter wands and they look MUCH better! The customer service was great! The only other suggestion to the manufacturer would be to make a 2" valance for the 1" blinds to completely cover those metal parts.

They went up easily in five minutes, fit absolutely perfectly, and they block out all the light in my daughter's room so she can now take naps... the cordless was a great addition and they work flawlessly with the little plastic handles that came with... I used two handles on each just to minimize strain on the blinds. I will buy more of these as soon as we convert our office into another baby's room.

The color is about 2 shades darker than what was pictured in normal room light, it looks lighter when sun comes through the windows. In Seattle where sometimes there's no sun for long periods this was a little disappointing, but they still go with the room decor just well enough. The customer service was great - I had a question about my order and sent in an email. Someone got back to me the next day! I will order again being careful to pick a shade a bit lighter than I expect.
