The only difference with our "wood look" blinds and our white blinds was the slats. The wood look are a bit more durable for whatever reason. The same problem occured with the open/close feature. The chain is not connecting to move the blinds. Dissapointed for sure as they are beautiful. The verticles are a much cleaner look than the horizontals, but when they don't open and close beauty is not as important as quality.

The installation was fairly easy, all the product, parts, etc were in the order and the measurements were perfect. The problem we encountered was that they do not open correctly. Even when they were opened gently, only one slat moved the others next to it broke. Beautiful, but not the quality I expected.
