Installation: I installed my own blinds!
I have not installed all of them yet. But the large one I ordered and installed looks great. The only thing I don't like is because of the black out part, where the pull strings are attached it lets light through and looks like stars shining. I wish that didn't show.

Installation: I installed my own blinds!
The perfect addition to our Egyptian Room. They look like authentic woven reeds.
Everything was exactly to order. The color is the same as the sample and the blinds fit perfectly.

Installation: I installed my own blinds!
The shades look nice out of the box, but once they were up I was really disappointed. I ordered them with the continuous cord upgrade. The mechanism with the cord is about 2 inches in from the edge of the shade and because of this, instead of the cord being inconspicuously hidden against the inside of the window, it goes in front of the shade and THEN down the side.
I have other shades with the loop cord and NONE of them do this. It looks sloppy and completely ruins the look of the shade.

Installation: I installed my own blinds!
I waited almost a month for these shades and upon taking them out of the package, I was very pleased with the quality. The wood and the wide edge banding were on par with those of higher shades I had looked at. The reason I'm rating so low is because I paid for the upgrade to a continuous cord and the placement of the cord mechanism, since it is about 2 inches in, makes is so that the cord does not lay flush along the inside of the window! Instead it lays along the top front of the shade, which 1. pushes against the actual shade and 2. looks very sloppy. Other shades have the mechanism have it placed at the outer edge of the shade so that the cord, when mounted lies flat along the window without ever TOUCHING the front of the shade.
For the $200+ I paid PER SHADE, I am completely disappointed at the end result.
