If your purpose is to use this shade for room darkening, then use the outside the window casing measurement or a cassette headrail.

If your purpose is to use this shade for room darkening, then use the outside the window casing measurement or a cassette headrail. I measured for an inside mount and there is a gap at the top of the window casing.
