Installation: I installed my own blinds! These are easy to install and block the light pretty well. There is still light that enters around the edges since they do not have side tracks but I figure I can fabricate something if it is bothersome enough. Install was pretty easy. Ours are mounted inside the window frame. If you are doing the same, I suggest mounting them as far away from the window as possible as this will make operating the cord easier. You need a little bit of angle for the cord to catch. When they are mounted deep in the frame this becomes difficult. I find the cord mechanism a little flimsy but it does work.
