Installation: I installed my own blinds! These shades are wonderful and at a great price. They block out light well. In addition, the top down/bottom up design is great - with top down the shade pleats nicely at the base. Works well for privacy. Installation: I installed my own blinds! The instructions that were on the internet site did not jive with the hardware that came with the blinds. As a matter of fact, I thought we were missing some pieces and went to several blinds stores to find extras only to be told they had never seen anything like the ones that came with the blinds. After great consternation and trial and error, I finally figured out how to mount these blinds, but not until after great frustration since the pictures on the diagrams didn't look anything like the hardware that came with the blinds. Once I got them up however, they look great and really changed the appearance of the room with the new windows that we installed as well. One thing I didn't think about though was the fact that if the blinds are down but the window is open it blows the blinds into the room because there is no way for the air to pass through.
