Measuring Roller ShadesEach roller shades comes with a cord lift. The side in which the lift cord is located will have a gap to allow room for the lift. The measurement will be the tip to tip measurement and will take into account the width of the controls. For inside mount roller shades, just enter what your window measures. There will be a gap on the side of the control to allow room for the lift mechanism and the cord. If you are measuring for an outside mount roller shade the width you will want to take into account the difference between the roller shade material and the measurement. There will be about 1 1/4 difference between the measurement entered in the system and the measurement of the actual shade material. The measurement entered will account for the roller shade as well as the width of the lift mechanism and cord.
