Want to spice up your blinds or shades? Below is the upgrades available and their functions:

Blinds with 5 inch valance

"Cornice Style" Valance

Most manufacturers provide a valance that fits within the inside of the window frame and have visible valance clips. Our "cornice style" valance is a free upgrade that allows the valance to sit outside the window frame and extend past the edge of the window, mounted with hidden valance clips. The edges of the valance are then mitered with small returns or sides that gives each valance that perfect cornice look.

Advantages
  • More elegant look to each window blind.
Disadvantages
  • Not recommended for windows with trim, however, each blind can also be ordered with a standard valance that does not have the cornice style.

Blinds with Decorative Tapes

Blinds w/ this Upgrade:
 Wood Blinds

 Aluminum Blinds

Decorative Tapes

Not only are they appealing, but decorative tapes block additional light from leaking in through the route holes on the horizontal blind slats.

Advantages
  • Additional Light Blockage.
  • Appeal.
Disadvantages
  • Harder to clean.

Routless Blinds

Routless Ladders

By removing the route holes in the center of each blind slat, additional light blockage is achieved. Because there is not a routed hole in the horizontal slats, the lift cord runs on the outside of the slats. A small notch is made on the edge of the slat to keep them in place.

Advantages
  • Additional Light Blockage.
  • Easier to clean(each slat can be removed).
Disadvantages
  • Because each slat can be removed, not recommended for homes with small children or pets.
  • Not recommended on door mount blinds.

Edge Binding

  2. Add an attractive accent to the shade.

  • Prevent fraying.

Disadvantages
  • Cost.
