Who says your style can't change with the seasons? The DIY pro's at HGTV believe that doing just that is a great way to help remove clutter while updating your home.

With summer in full swing, many are going coastal in their designs (placing everything from seashells and madras to wicker and anchors in their humble abodes). Remember - a few added accessories in any room in your house is sure to make you feel like your on the beach, no matter where you live.

Of course, creating a beachy feel means you'll have to consider the importance of colors as well. If you're room is beige, tan or any other neutral shade, you can easily infuse a summery aura into the area by picking accessories in hues of blues, greens and natural materials. One example had a peaceful painting in blue, with a few patterned pillows and a rich blue glass bowl that held balls of twine. This look represents the ocean without appearing too nautical.

Window treatments can also drastically change the feel of a room, and by implementing natural materials like woven shades or wood blinds, you'll further push the beachy keen look while still keeping your room fashion-forward.

A cool breeze and a refreshing cocktail will be all you need to add to for a vacation in your home.
