A group of 24 interior designers and seven landscapers have completed their work on the Stonebridge Mansion in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. According to DelawareOnline, the home is a delightful mix of traditional and contemporary styles, and shows how modern improvements can be incorporated into a home that was built in 1912.

The new home was showcased to the public this past weekend, and onlookers were astounded by the job of the interior design group. The living room, for instance, embraced the colors of spring by featuring an amber-colored sofa with throw pillows that feature blue and spring green stripes.

As for the windows, the designers hung vibrant valances above all of the windows and used light-filtering shades to break up the flow of sunlight. This makes best use of the bold hues throughout the living areas, and gives the rooms a lively quality.

Homeowners looking to improve the atmosphere in their home should consider soft sheer shades for their living rooms. They come in a wide range of colors and styles, and can be custom-made to fit any window. They provide the look and feel of fabric designs with the convenience and functionality of a horizontal blind.
