A cost efficient design found in mini blinds

Although purchasing an older house can have benefits, like a rich sense of history or a unique appearance, the Seattle Times reports that there can be a number of pitfalls as well.

One problem is that some rooms can be dark and somewhat out of place in a house that may be making an effort to be more modern. Trying to renovate rooms in a older house can be an expensive endeavor as well. However, there are cost-efficient ways to update an older house. Interior design expert Candice Olson demonstrated this to the news source by updating the 80-year-old kitchen and dining room of a newlywed couple.

The biggest area Olson addressed was the dreary feeling the space gave off. She chose to alter the window treatment by hanging blinds which lightened up the room and made the two rooms blend together better.

Mini blinds are the perfect way to accomplish this same goal. Aside from being able to easily control the amount of light that enters a room, experts recommend mini blinds because they come in a variety of colors which makes them easy to match with any room.
