Decorating a house so it is eco-friendly can certainly be a daunting task. If the homeowner has no guidance it can be even more difficult. Luckily, thanks to a new book, those looking to reduce their impact on the environment can find the help they need, reports ExpressNightOut.com.

"Restore. Recycle. Repurpose: Create a Beautiful Home" by Randy Florke provides ample advice for sustainable living on a budget. According to the news source, the book features shopping tips along with recycling pointers. In an interview with the news source, Florke told of how he got his environmentally friendly designing philosophy.

"It's an approach from my frugal grandmother, who we made fun of growing up. It took until I was 25 years old to realize she'd been right," Florke told the outlet.

An easy way to go green, and save money, is to hang woven bamboo shades. Industry experts say that bamboo shades are especially environmentally friendly because, unlike other synthetic window treatments, they are made from all-natural material. Woven bamboo shades are also effective at blocking sunlight in the summer and keeping rooms warm in the winter.
