Incorporating natural materials into your interior design
Apr 19 2011
Eco-friendly decorating materials and designs have become wildly popular in today's design world, but finding the right balance between natural accents and contemporary items can be difficult. Window treatments can be one of the easiest ways to pull all of these options together, according to JustLuxe.com.
Bamboo woven wood shades will add a natural aesthetic to your home and will blend beautifully with your other accents.
Kristin Drohan is one of American's top interior designers, and she recently told the news outlet that incorporating eco-friendly materials into her client's homes is the best way to create a healthy home. She is one of the first 100 interior designers to attain her Green AP certification from the Sustainable Furnishing Council.
Drohan believes that balance is the biggest stumbling block to home decorating. If you're working with darker furnishings, break up the space by using medium and light-colored items such as throw pillows, blankets and window treatments. Additionally, choosing a prevailing hue to use in curtains and furnishings to foster uniformity in the room.
Bamboo woven wood shades will offer timeless beauty for your living spaces and can be custom-built to fit any window. They will pair perfectly with an interior design that features natural aesthetics and rustic style.
