Get a great night's rest during National Sleep Awareness Week

If you've noticed some sluggishness during the beginning of your day or simply feel tired during work, you may not be getting a good night's sleep! March 7-13 is National Sleep Awareness Week which is sponsored by the National Sleep Foundation. This campaign is aimed at helping everyday Americans to get on a better sleep schedule and to get ready for daylight saving time, where individuals lose one hour of sleep.

The initiative is aimed at working Americans who are not finding the proper balance between work, play and proper sleep requirements. Recent data from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) indicates that American adults average 6.9 hours of sleep each night, far below the recommended seven to nine hours per night, according to MedPageToday.com.
