Virtual makeovers becoming popular with designers
Mar 2 2011
In the past, interior designers would have to come to a clients' home and visualize the space on the fly. With modern graphics technology, the workers at Design Serendipity Interiors have started a service called "Design Delivery." All they need are the dimensions and a few pictures of your space and they will create numerous floor plans and a shopping list for your new living area, according to Westport News.
Modern graphics technology now allows interior designers to visualize a space by using photos and your room's dimensions.
"You're bringing the designer into your home theoretically," Jody Peters, one of the business' founders, told the news source. "We're designing a space for your but you get to do it on your own terms, your own timing."
The company is the brainchild of Peters and Shannon Manchester, who wanted to streamline the process of interior design to get the best results. In addition, customers have a visual record and a book of options to make an informed decision that matches their aesthetic needs and price point.
If you're in the process of a home makeover, consider the addition of solar screen shades. These window treatments are energy-efficient, will block UV rays, offer a wide array of styles and will still give you a view to the outdoors.
