New online magazine makes home design fun and approachableFeb 28 2011 ![]() Dabble is a new Canada-based magazine focused on design and lifestyle topics. Kimberley Seldon, former host of HGTV's Design for Living, told the Calgary Herald that Dabble may be Canada's first online entry into the world of design news. According to the newspaper, Seldon plans to touch on all topics with an eye for good design. "Dabble has really been a process of seeing that good design is universal. It doesn't matter if it's in Denver or Norway or Calgary - if it's good, it's good," she said. The first issue focuses on a bathroom renovation in a Calgary home in the bimonthly magazine's regular column, Reality Check. "We take the content super serious, but bring it across in a way that I think is really fun and approachable," Seldon told the Herald. Home decorators can approach their design dilemmas in the same spirit by looking at the variety of materials, colors and patterns available for projects such as window treatments, lighting and decorative accessories. Choosing custom blinds online, for instance, shows the wide range of styles available to homeowners looking for a splash of color as well as energy efficiency and affordable prices.
