A gray color scheme highlights your design choices

Hollywood talent manager Alan Siegel and women's fashion designer David Meister picked an unorthodox color choice for their Sunset Strip home. The couple used varying shades of gray to accentuate the look of their artwork and style choices and the result is simply stunning, according to the Los Angeles Times.

"Maybe we needed a new neutral to create a calming environment in these hectic times," architectural color consultant, Leesa Martling, told the news source. "The advantage of gray is that it fades into the background. White walls do not. White can be quite loud."

Siegel and Meister decided they didn't want to come home to a house that was patterned or bursting with color, and instead chose a muted color to bring out their artwork and the views from the Hollywood Hills.

While gray is still a consistent theme throughout the home, the homeowners have found that pairing sparkly objects such as chandeliers or full-length mirrors with the gray scheme creates a calming effect.
