Cleaning your windows and window treatments is a great way to keep dust and allergens out of your home.
If your window treatments have begun to look in sorry shape, now may be the time for a full-scale cleaning or possibly some new shades or blinds. Whatever you decide, regular maintenance of both new and old products will ensure they stay functional and fashionable for a long time.

As with any chore, the longer you let it go by, the bigger the job it will be. An easy way to clean blinds is to use the brush attachment from your vacuum and go through each blind one by one. If you don't have a vacuum on hand, a damp cloth with dust remover will do the job.

Plastic blinds can be cleaned with an all purpose solution rather easily, without risking damage to the material. Bamboo and wood blinds require special attention, however, you should use a dust remover meant for wood surfaces as this will not damage the material and will create a lasting shine.

Aluminum mini blinds are an affordable, easy to clean and functional way to add privacy to your home. With a myriad of glosses and finishes, you can find the perfect color combination for your décor.
