Keep rooms private with vertical blinds

A recent survey has found that 80 percent of 2009 college graduates have moved back with their families and suggests that an equal number of 2010 graduates could be living at home, reports the Huffington Post.

One of the more difficult adjustments for families may be the sudden lack of space and privacy. College grads are used to controlling their surroundings and habits, while parents still want to influence their children.

A cramped living area can exacerbate this problem, especially if doors within the house are transparent or thin.

A quick-fix to a sudden tightening of the home can be found in vertical blinds, which hang from doors and can be used to effectively separate rooms with glass doors or even dampen noise from rooms with wooden doors.
