Rollup shades can complement the hottest colors of 2011

Each year is marked by a new combination of colors that can bring a little life into a household, and paint supplier Benjamin Moore recently released a list of some of the colors that will be popular this year, according to FOX News.

First up is a specific shade of purple called Vintage Wine 2116-20, which is deeper and more robust than other varieties of the hue.

"It is an anchoring and rich hue with a deep brown base and a hint of smoky violet. Vintage Wine is the perfect foil for the latest wood finishes, leathers, linens and other textiles," interior designer Sonu Matthew told the news provider.

Other popular colors this year will include the relaxed green of Amulet AF-365 and the strong shades of brown found in Etruscan AF-355, Wasabi AF-430 and Casco Bay 2051-30.

To incorporate a little of all these elements, experts suggest finding subtle ways of applying the shades shade to upholstery, flooring and walls.

Window treatments can also help a homeowner change the colors of their home, because they can add a distinct border to the decorations. Rollup shades are available in many different patterns and colors, so one is sure to find a window treatment that will contribute to a theme.
