One couple recently worked for three years making their home as comfortable and inviting as possible, but become stuck in a rut when thinking about the master bedroom, so interior designer Candice Olson took the lead and decided to include a monochromatic theme that would bring warmth and calm to the space, according to Scripps Howard News Service.

The colors Olson chose for this look were beige, cream, gray and vanilla. She started things off by hanging a beautiful, silver-and-crystal chandelier and then painted the room in cream shades before layering it with a neutral carpet.

The bed was accented with cream-and-gray pillows and she further decorated the room with a seating area that reflected soft grays and vanillas. For a quirky touch, she looked for accessories in an eclectic shop. One of the most stunning finds was a feather headdress, which Olson hung above the bed.

Those who are trying to find the ideal window treatments for a monochromatic bedroom may want to consider metal window blinds, which can add a unique gleam to any room. They are also durable and easy to wash.
