When it comes to outlining separate functions for spaces in a home, many individuals have trouble. However, applying new dimensions to rooms happens to be interior designer Trisa Chomica's specialty, according to The Peninsula Woman.

Laura O'Neal has witnessed Chomica's expertise firsthand, when she hired her to remodel her living room, which had unfortunate similarities to a hallway. Chomica's solution was to arrange two different seating areas in the area, both of which were centered around one focal point each - the fireplace and the television.

This effectively made each space possess an entirely unique function. One now seems to be ideal for conversation, while the other is optimal for recreation.

"She can take what you have and make it look completely different," O'Neal told the news source. "She reminds me of the people on TV who add a belt to a scuba suit and make it look like a prom dress."

Those who are looking to refresh a room should also consider the window treatments. Using the distinctive and vibrant colors of horizontal fabric shades can also be a good way to represent the specific function of an area in a home.
