Vertical blinds help personalize a home office to reflect one's personalityNov 17 2010 ![]() A home office can have furnishings and decor that reflects the homeowner's personality. According to Houzz.com, an office under the eaves of a renovated attic can be outfitted with a collection of cubby holes for office supplies, and a series of filing cabinets holding up the desk surface, rather than standard desk drawers. Built-in cabinetry can be customized to fit a small area, using all the available space by building from ceiling to floor. Another good idea is to attach a vertical bulletin board the size of a full-length mirror on a side wall. That keeps the post-it notes and paperwork readily available without cluttering the space above the desk. For an office area that has large windows and plenty of natural light entering the room, vertical blinds are a good choice for a window treatment. They can be adjusted to let in full or partial light, and are available in a variety of colors and materials to match a personalized office décor.
