While most green movements typically champion the benefits eco-friendly practices have on the environment, one particular green initiative is having a positive impact on the people as well.
According to the Creston News Advertiser, natural lighting is an easy way to reduce electricity use and has also been shown to improve learning in students, reduce Seasonal Affective Disorder in adults and improve cognitive and motor skills in older people.
"There's nothing like walking into a room drenched in natural light," Priscilla Ulmann, founder of the New York design firm Scott-Ulmann Inc, told the news source.
