Vertical blinds can create personal spaces in a homeOct 11 2010 ![]() Vertical blinds can create personal spaces in a home Many of these younger couples are looking to remain independent, while older individuals are looking for ways to have their own, personal spaces and enough room for all of their belongings. One couple, Caroline Coode and Gordon Smith, share a building, with Coode on the bottom floor and Smith on the second. This has allowed both of them the opportunity to create environments that cater specifically to their own interests and hobbies. For example, while Smith favors professional artwork to adorn his hallways, Coode has decorated with her own creative prints, and has even transformed a whole room into an art studio for her work. Still, the news source reports that the couple has almost every meal together, alternating between floors, and the doors to their respective flats are rarely ever locked. Those who are also looking to create a private space, but may not be able to convert a whole floor to suit their tastes, can instead hang vertical blinds on a sliding glass door to effectively foster a personal environment. Vertical blinds can be ideal for dividing functions within rooms or homes.
