Designer gives five teacher's lounges impressive upgradesSep 23 2010 ![]() Designer gives five teacher's lounges impressive upgrades The project was taken on by interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn who, because of the time constraints, could not visit each school in person and had to design their layout simply by looking at photos and sending text messages to the individuals who were doing the work. According to the news source, the school that required the most attention was Samuel W. Bridgham Middle School in Providence, Rhode Island. The room was comprised of cinderblock walls and linoleum floors. Flynn upgraded it by hanging window treatments, adding carpeting and painting the walls a soft pale blue. Those who may be looking to improve the appearance of one of their rooms should consider hanging horizontal fabric shades. In addition to offering an understated elegance to a room, horizontal fabric shades are easy to clean and offer a versatile function.
